David Bass - Comedy Screenwriter

Greetings from my home in Raleigh, North Carolina. A lifelong Southerner, I began writing for laughs seriously in 2020 and have completed four feature film comedies, three short films and one TV pilot. In 2022, I created Dust and Sweat and Blood Productions LLC to develop and produce my screenplays.

I'm also a recovering accountant, with a business career that progressed over three decades from auditing to mergers & acquisitions consulting. It wasn't all spreadsheets though; once I nailed second place (out of eight) in the "Search for the Triangle’s Funniest Accountant" stand-up comedy competition. When I'm not writing, I enjoy giving unsolicited advice to my three adult children and playing or hosting poker games. One of my writing goals is to generate the best poker movie since ROUNDERS.
